报告题目:Navigating MOFs with Solid-State NMR:Unveiling Local environments of Linkers, Metals, and Guest Molecules

报告摘要

Metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) have become the largest branch of porous materials. Although MOFs have many applications, the local structures of metal ions, organic linkers, and guest behaviors underpinning the MOF properties are often not well understood at molecular level. Solid-state NMR (SSNMR) spectroscopy is a powerful tool for MOF characterization as it provides nuclide specific information, and is sensitive to short-range ordering and dynamics.

We have examined various MOF systems using a variety of NMR techniques. In this talk I will talk about our work on directly probing metal center environments by interrogating 67Zn, 25Mg, 115In, 91Zr, 71/69Ga, 129La, 39K, 43Ca, 47/49Ti, 65/63Cu, 209Bi via their SSNMR spectra; examining local structure around organic linkers by 1H, 13C, 17O, 35Cl and 127I SSNMR; monitoring the behavior of adsorbed guest molecules. The NMR results lead to a deeper understanding of the structure-properties-function relationships in MOF systems. Furthermore, SSNMR can also serve as a guiding tool in MOF chemistry, and illustrative examples of post-synthetic modifications will be presented.

报告人简介:

黄忆宁(Yining Huang)教授出生于中国北京,1982年和1985年分别获北京大学化学学士硕士学位。1985年至1987年期间任北京大学化学学院讲师,1992年获加拿大McGill University化学博士学位。1992年至1995年期间于加拿大University of British Columbia从事博士后研究,师从国际知名分子筛和固体核磁大师Collin Fyfe1995年至1997年期间在加Laurentian University任教,1997年加入University of Western Ontario并任职至今。曾任化学系主任(2014-2022),是现任Canadian Journal of Chemistry主编曾获Canada Research ChairPremier's Research Excellence Award Ontario Distinguished Research Award等重要奖项,曾入选海外高层次人才计划”。黄忆宁教授长期以来致力于以固体核磁共振谱学和振动谱学等技术研究各类多孔材料,包括分子筛、介孔材料和金属有机框架等,已在Acc. Chem. Res, JACSAngew.Chem.Int.Ed,等知名杂志上发表论文240余篇。
